COMPOSITION PART 1

Composition  Part 1

As has been mentioned already  , Composition the graceful arrangement and balance of objects in the frame. The normal way to achieve this aspect is at the time of shooting itself. The other method is to crop the already captured image . The  composition will give different impact to the viewer. Again to choose the frame viz., landscape format or portrait format also gives different impact to the viewer.

It is important to analyze what object in the frame draws ones eye in the frame. Lead-in lines is an important factor which is to be understood in the aspect of Composition.  Lead-in lines is the line which are part of the subject in the frame which tracks the viewer’s attention to the main subject. Of course, one cannot expect all subject will have lead-in lines in the scene. In the illustrations pic 1 is having the lengthy rail track with special rack in the middle is the lead- in line which carries the viewer’s attention to the  main subject. Where as the pic 2 which is in the landscape format, the lead-in line is short and the impact viewer’s attention is not so effective to draw to the main subject. This was achieved with the help of Photo editing software.

The lead-in lines could be fence, compound wall, cracks in the building, the meridian in the highway, water jet ,etc.
